Piano hammers must be prepared with careful attention to drilling angle, position, and alignment. Small variations across the hammer set can affect action geometry and ultimately influence the consistency of touch and tone. The Piano Hammer Drilling Machine was developed to bring greater accuracy and repeatability to hammer preparation. By controlling the position and drilling angle of each hammer, the device helps create consistent geometry across the complete hammer set before installation and final regulation.
